Unit Helper receives a County brooch “The Lily”

Cambs East county thanks 2012 visualUnit Helper Amy Littlefair (24) from 1st Guilden Morden Brownies was surprised with the presentation of a Girlguiding Cambridgeshire East County brooch, The Lily, for “giving continuous and practical support to 1st Guilden Morden Brownies whilst facing considerable personal challenges”.

The award was presented in front of 80 Brownies by County Commissioner Jean Verney during the recent Melbourn District Brownies Rosebud Rally. The rally was organised to celebrate 100 years since the formation of the Brownies, who in 1914 were called Rosebuds.

Amy said “I was very surprised to receive the County brooch award for continuous support and also very proud. I really enjoy helping at Brownies every week.” Deborah Fisher, Leader at the Brownies, said “Amy is a great help at unit meetings and always takes the new girls under her wing.”
