Brownies gain Crime Prevention badge

1st Horseheath Brownies

crime preventionBrownies from the 1st Horseheath group  recently completed their Crime Prevention badge with PC Ryan McNamara from Essex Police.

The Brownies took part in role plays covering criminal damage by graffiti, shop lifting, etc. The girls  took part in group discussions about what to do if they witness a crime taking place. They also learned about Stranger Danger and who they should talk to if it happens to them.

Each Brownie was given a goodie bag which included information on crime prevention and Neighbourhood Watch as well as a property marking pen so they can assist their parents in putting their postcode on all the valuable items in their home.
