Brownies raise defibrillator funds

4th March Brownies hold an Autumn Fair to fund a defibrillator

When a St John Ambulance volunteer visited a meeting of 4th March Brownies, he showed them how a defibrillator can help to save lives. This inspired the twenty-nine girls to do something practical to help install this vital equipment throughout the town.

The Brownies decided to host an Autumn Fair to raise money for the ‘Have a heart’ campaign. They organised a range of stalls including teddy tombola, a treasure hunt, name the teddy, match the cards, pin the tail on the donkey and a lucky dip.

The Brownies raised £145! They presented a cheque to Rob Skoulding, the Mayor of March, at a Brownie meeting.
