Keen young bird watchers in Wisbech have been supporting the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch
Brownies and Leaders from 3rd Wisbech Brownies supported the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch this year. The girls all applied to the RSPB for packs which showed them pictures of the many birds that they might see.
The week before the Big Garden Birdwatch, the Brownies made bird feeders and placed them in their gardens to attract the birds.
Brown Owl Lesley Anderson said the girls had got a lot out of the annual event. She said: “The Brownies really enjoyed taking part in this event and they have learned a lot about birds and other wild animals in order to gain their Wildlife Explorer badge.”
Following on from an article published in the Fenland Citizen, the RSPB at Titchwell Marsh have invited the group to come and see more birds and wildlife which they hope to do in the summer term. Watch this space!
