1st Swavesey Rainbows celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday

1st Swavesey Rainbows started this term greatly excited about celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday. The Rainbows all made a birthday card for HM the Queen which we posted to her and we’re hoping she’ll send a reply!

The girls also made fascinators on hair clips and wore these with their party dresses for our meeting on 21 April, the Queen’s actual birthday. We celebrated with an indoor street party, eating cucumber sandwiches, Victoria sponge cake and iced gems. A parent came along to teach the girls how to curtsy and even brought some curtsying music with her!

We’ve had a fantastic time and hope HM the Queen has enjoyed her celebrations too.
