New Rainbow Unit holds Promise Party

A colourful ceremony was held in Swavesey to mark the Promise Celebration of the newest members of Girlguiding.

1st Swavesey Rainbows officially welcomed sixteen new Rainbows into the group at the ceremony held on 22 October in front of proud parents and friends.

Caroline Stevens the Leader said ‘1st Swavesey Rainbows is open to all girls aged 5 to 7 years and is all about learning, developing self-confidence, building friendships and of course having lots of fun! We have sixteen girls in the unit and they all really enjoy the weekly meetings.’

Mums say: “Thank you to Caroline and Kate for taking the time to start and provide this wonderful group.” and “Thank you for bringing Rainbows to Swavesey, my daughter loves it!”

Girlguiding opens up a world of exciting challenges to girls aged 5 to 25, giving them the space to try new things and make friends for life. Girls take part in a hugely varied weekly programme incorporating everything from world issues and science to adventure sports, social action and international travel.
