Leading an international adventure was how Judith, a Leader from Littleport, spent her summer holiday. She has just returned from Our Cabaña in Cuernavaca, Mexico where she was part of the leadership team for members of The Senior Section across Anglia Region at an International Guiding event at one of The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts centres.
The adventures included climbing the sun and moon pyramids at Teotihuacan and a visit to Taxco in the state of Guerrero, a city involved in silver mining and crafting of jewellery.
The girls also took part in World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts sessions on Free Being Me, a joint project with Dove to empower girls by improving body confidence and self-esteem.
If you would like to lead a trip overseas for Girlguiding, why not consider taking part in the Traveling Abroad training programme?
