Glass blowing Trefoil Guild

Seven members and friends travelled to Kings Lynn to visit the Caithness Crystal visitor centre where they made their own tumblers and vases. The furnaces were very hot and with the help of the master glass blower at the centre the ladies all blew their own crystal. First of all they ladies chose what they were going to make and then they were asked to pick a colour that would be added to the glass. Each member in turn then went to the blowing platform where they had a practice blowing the tube before blowing their own tumbler or vase. This proved thirsty work so the group then visited the coffee shop before taking the opportunity to browse the gift shop.

Susan said “It was great to be able to try my hand at something different. I’m really pleased with the finished result.”
