Girlguiding members in Manea organized a dodge ball competition to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. The girls were joined for the event by other children from the village and raised more than £100.
The venue for the competition and the prizes were sponsored by Manea Connect who produces the village magazine ‘Manea Matters’.
Guide leader Alex Robinson said “The event was amazing and showcased the best of what guiding is about to other families in the village.”
The group chose to support the British Heart Foundation because coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer. From babies born with life-threatening heart problems to the many mums, dads and grandparents who survive a heart attack and endure the daily battles of heart failure.
